Use of sodium cinnamate

Sodium cinnamate is obtained by reacting cinnamic acid with aqueous sodium carbonate solution and drying it by concentration.It is a white to pale yellow solid.

Sodium cinnamate can be used in the manufacture of intermediates such as benzyl chloride, cinnamyl chloride and cinnamamide. It is also suitable for improving the cooling system and automobile barrier of various engine equipment, which is beneficial to long-distance use of automobiles. This product can also be used in pharmaceutical intermediates and cosmetics. Sodium cinnamate is soluble in water and is a good food preservative. It can also be used as a photosensitive material.
